SteadyReview is a proposed review app for Shopify stores with one simple idea: a review tool should cost the same every month, and the reviews and photos you earn should stay yours. We're talking with store owners now to make sure it's worth building.

Where this page stands: SteadyReview does not exist as a product yet. Nothing here can be bought, and no pricing on this page is final. This page is part of a validation process — a way to be specific about what we're proposing, so the conversations with store owners start from something concrete.
Three ideas shape the product we're describing. All three are proposals — they're part of what the current conversations are testing.
Our proposed pricing is $24.99 per month — a single line on your invoice, the same every month. Not a base plan plus charges that grow with how well your store is doing. (Proposed pricing — final decisions come later, with input from the store owners we're talking to.)
Reviews and photos are assets your customers gave you. Our proposed approach: your review photos live in storage you control, and full export is a first-class feature — not a favor you have to ask for. Some providers keep photos on their own servers; we'd rather hand you the keys.
Plans change, tools get replaced. Our plan: if SteadyReview isn't working for your store, uninstall the app and the billing stops. That's the proposed model — a review app should earn its place in your stack every month.

Over the past year I kept hearing the same two stories from Shopify store owners: bills that were hard to predict or explain, and the quiet unease of years of customer photos living on someone else's servers. I started SteadyReview to test whether a smaller, steadier review app could fix both at once.
I'm not a company. Right now this is one person, my email, and the store owners kind enough to talk to me. That's deliberate — if this becomes a product, you'll always know exactly who is responsible for it.
This page doesn't sell anything, because right now there's nothing to sell. The product exists as a proposal, and it gets validated the slow way: conversation by conversation. If you're a store owner, the most valuable thing you can give me is 15 honest minutes.

Right now the work is talking with store owners to make sure the proposal is right before any of it gets coded. Honest answer: no one can promise what a price will look like in five years, and I won't pretend otherwise. What I can tell you is the proposed model and how changes would work: the proposed pricing is flat-rate — one monthly number — and long-term pricing decisions will be shared with customers first, directly, before any change takes effect.
The proposal on the table is $24.99 per month, flat. It's labeled proposed pricing because it's one of the things the current conversations are testing — if store owners tell me the number is wrong, it's wrong. There is no checkout on this page, and there won't be one until there's a product.
Under the proposed design, your review photos live in storage you control, and exporting everything is built in — so leaving means taking your content with you, not leaving it behind. It's common for review content to live on the app provider's own servers, and some published app policies state that such data is kept only for a limited period after an app is uninstalled. We think store owners deserve the other arrangement.
Qi Yang, an independent developer — one person who designs, writes, and answers his own email. No sales team, no account managers: if you email, you email the person building the product. Review apps ask merchants for years of trust; that trust should start with knowing exactly who is accountable.
